Thank you for all of the prayers for "the 22 year old son of parishioners"!! That would be our son, Blake. I would ask that you please continue with prayers for Blake. He was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia, which is a very rare disease that only affects about 20,000 people in the U.S. a year. The disease causes the body to stop making blood. The cause is unknown at the is point. There is still some testing to be done as we prepare to get ready for a bone marrow transplant. He is currently In the hospital in Waterloo because of a fever they can't keep under control. They can't find the cause of that either. With his counts being so low, he is so susceptible to germs, so it could be just about anything. All tests have come back negative.
