Today, July 22, dioceses throughout Central America are praying for Nicaragua. This is part of the Bishops' statement: "The Bishops of Latin America and the Caribbean, as servants of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the hope of the world, express our closeness and solidarity with the Nicaraguan people and with their Pastors, prophets of justice, given the tragic and painful social and political crisis being experienced there at present." Please join in this prayer on behalf of the Nicaraguan people and especially our brothers and sisters in our sister parish, Santa Lucía (in Boaco, Nicaragua). -- Fr. Tim
